Having lived in Germany, Hawaii, and across the U.S. both during and after his military service, and loving to drive, David was a man who truly enjoyed the adventure of heading off into unknown neighborhoods to explore.

That love of a good road trip was shared in later years by his wife, Angie. When they initially met in 2001 they lived in different states: Ohio & Illinois. For the first years of their dating life they each made the 6 hour drive to see one another… every single weekend, for 5 years – not missing a single weekend together. And in the years ahead they continued taking impromptu road trips. As most of you have experienced, 9 out of 10 ten times if you called them, they were in the car!
To say David was tech savvy would be an understatement. David was a nerd, a geek, and a hands-on scholar when it came to technology. His intellect was remarkable, but he remained humble and ever eager to help others.
He loved all music – from P-funk and Parliament to the Bee Gees – and everything in between… although family members would say he couldn’t sing a lick!
He was exceptionally knowledgeable about and fascinated by spiritual and esoteric writings, and would perk up when meeting anyone able to share thoughts and ideas about those topics.Although always approachable to anyone needing help, his demeanor could appear ‘quiet’.

But David possessed that welcoming smile that spoke volumes before he said a word, a smile that lit up the room. ”Everyone loved David” – his coworkers, neighbors, random strangers in stores, and the many nurses and doctors he encountered as his health began declining.
When he talked with you, you knew he was genuinely interested in what you had to say. On hearing about his passing it was common for people to respond: “… what a very sweet man”.
